500g beef
1 big onion
red wine
garlic
butter
tomato puree (concentrate)
Cut the beef and onion add the red wine, marinate all night.
Steps:
In a heavy pan heat the butter, add the garlic. Do not brown the garlic add the marinated beef plus a spoonful of tomato puree. Add more red wine to cover the meat.
Cook until the sauce is reduced.
Serve with potato puree or "ugali"
to make a good potato puree
I usually boil my potatoes in water and salt, and marsh them adding a bit of butter.
